The Differences Between Engineering, Commerce and Mass Communication

Well, why setting up a Mass Communication Department when the management care less about it? Sometimes being treated like SHIT by the School of Business, by the Commerce lecturers and also by the campus management. Why is there such a barrier between the Engineering and Commerce school with Mass Communication Department?

An obvious ill-treatment the management gave to the graduated from Mass Communication was clearly seen in the Graduation Ceremony 2008 last night. Graduation was supposed to be a joyful event for all graduates, but, unfortunately, not for the graduates from Mass Comm.

...The pictures tell it all...

...Engineering Graduates with the VIPs...

...Commerce Graduates with the VIPs...

...Mass Communication Graduates behind a projector screen???...

...

During phototaking for Engineering graduates, the Commerce graduates were asked to line up and get ready for their photoshoot. While the Commerce graduates were in their photoshoot, the Mass Communication graduates were already lining up for their turn. Once the Commerce graduates disperse from the stage, the next thing we knew, the VIPs were gone and so did the photographer! The Mass Communication graduates then looked for the OC of the event and later found out that there were being left out/forgotten by them. The photographer was called back and to our surprise, they were asked to stand in front of a projector screen and their photos will be 'photoshoped'! ...the graduates paid RM500 for a photoshoped picture? no mortarboard throwing? no VIPs in the photo?... only when they insisted to have a group photo and they finally got this picture...

Some were shedding tears already that night. It was a disappointment to the graduates, and also to us future graduates from Mass Communication.

Although the department is small compare to Engineering and Commerce, but we pay fees to get education from the university and we deserve to have equality.

...a message to non-Mass Communication individuals...
WHERE DO YOU THINK TELEVISION COME FROM? IF NOT FOR PEOPLE LIKE US FROM MASS COMMUNICATION, THERE WILL BE NOTHING ON YOUR TELEVISION SCREEN FOR YOUR EYES TO SEE!
