One week of NO SLEEP but WORK, WORK and WORK!

Last week (Week 4) was one hell of a week.
It started on Monday...well, everyone hates Monday~

As mentioned in my previous post, it was off 'very-little-sleep', 'lots-of-eating', 'piling-of-stress-and-frustrations' and it wears me off.

Although last Monday until Wednesday was terrible, but we all managed to get it done and over with. Project Care has finally submitted the amended proposal which costs us RM29,000 and now hoping for good news!

Thursday until Saturday was AMAZING! LIFE GAME! Wooohoooo~
At least I had the three days away from my real life, away from all the real life stress, real life 'idiotic people' (sorry but there were lots of idiotic people bugging me and interfering with my team)...

Sunday was another day of...hmm...can say adventure la, but I got so frustrated over it. Cindy and I went to Mater Dei's 8am Mass and guess what, the car got stuck in the mud and there were no one there to help! It was in church, for goodness sake, but no one even bother to come down from their car to HELP! ...lucky that CSS'ians were still in church selling Open Day coupons and the guys were all so kind to help me push the car out of the mud. Thanks to Gary, Victor and Lionel! So, the car was filled with mud and it was so hard to find a car wash on Sunday! I was supposed to reach home at 10am for a shoot in campus, instead, I got home at 1pm! I couldn't make it for the shoot as I was not feeling well, and I suddenly remembered that there was an assignment meeting at 4pm.............

I'm still lack of sleep. I need SLEEP! if not I'll keep eating and eating and eating to keep myself energize.

WORK, EAT, SLEEP!
that's the cycle of life~

This week will be a better week, I hope.
Well, next week is one tough week to go through - 2 presentations, 2 written assignments, 1 weekly writing, open day event coverage for Mass Communication department and AppleBox, graduation coverage for Foundation and Degree... *sweats*

Life Game

Heard of Life Game anyone?
I participated in the recent camp organized in Miri, and thanks a million to Catherine for introducing me to this camp.

Date: 19th - 21st March 2009
Venue: Petronas Sports Village, Miri

...my room with 10 other girls...

Want to know more about this game?
Visit www.lifeimpactministries.com
*won't be telling about the game...hehehe...to know about it, join the game!*

I had to skip the introduction of the camp and the sports tournament on the first day coz I had to go for my Marketing Research class, but later I decided not to skip any of the game!

...'Catherine the security' and 'Karen the camper'...

I was a community in Central Park West. Started off with about 1000FC$ and passed my Senior High. Got my one and only job in the police station as a police officer. Received my Degree scholarhsip from the police station. Promoted to Police Sergeant. Saved up for my Doctorate. Had a good life until I turned 67 before I was shot dead.

Along the way, I helped a man and I was glad that by small contribution to his life changes his life entirely - he achieved his Diploma, got a job as a security guard in the PhotoStudio and got married.

Met people throughout this camp and one thing in common: we share the same experience after the camp.

...Barbara from Central Park West...

...Grace from Central Park East...

...Michelle, my Police colleague...

...Kattria, my roommate...

...Qaizzan, the guy whose life I changed...

...Xiao Jun, my Madam in the Police Station...

...Looking forward to practice what I learnt from the camp in my real life...

Looking forward to the next camp - this time, VOLUNTEERING!

Week 4...

Was trying to remember whether I posted anything up for last semester's week 4 because I recalled posting for Semester 1, 2008 week 4...complaining about all my assignments and the limitations of time to work on everything that is about to DUE!

This will be my last time complaining about WEEK 4.
Yes! Indeed it is a very loooooooooooooooooong WEEK 4.
Assignments 'dueing' soon, projects pending, commitment to other activities...but all came crushing down on my shoulder on Monday after a teleconference with Project Care main sponsor. -.-"

Have not been sleeping since. Had only 3 hours of sleep for the past 3 days with only 1 meal a day and not forgetting the 3am Lutong RM1.30 kolo mee! Mind and body is shutting down and I'm going off tomorrow for Life Game for the next 3 days...will be staying at Petronas Sports Camp until Saturday~

Now, Project Care is pia'ing to complete our very-the-thick-punya-proposal for submission to CIMB by this weekend. Hopefully we will be able to get it done and email to the sponsor.

Indeed, Week 4 is always a KILLER!
But, good news~! Hezekiah's Rhythm in the running for Best Documentary in Program Karyawan Muda... time to VOTE! :)

Looking forward to this weekend's game!

JTK Bowling Competition 2009

Date: 14th March 2009
Venue: Megalane East, Bintang Megamall

-Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Bowling Competition 2009-

Team name: Long Kang Champion

Yes, Long Kang Champion was our name and we were representing Curtin University for the Labour Office Bowling Competition; competing against other big organizations and companies. There were 29 teams altogether and we were separated to morning and afternoon session.

Originally 'Long Kang Champion' consists of Karen, Catherine, Melissa and Elizabeth but we had to split up to have two guys into our team for the first match in the morning. Faiz and Zul came into our team and we played our match at 10am.

...the 2 out of 4 original 'Long Kang Champion' members...

It was indeed a fun game: people play for the trophy, hamper...we play for F.U.N.!!!

...the 1st prize trophy and hamper...

The score for 'Long Kang Champion' increases at every game. From 399 to 402 to 490 and Zul had his highest score of 190 after 3 consecutive strikes~! Thanks to Mr. Azhar's 100Plus supply that our 3rd game was a blast! :)

...our 2nd game...

At least we came home with a sovenior from JTK - a glass with 'Ingatan Tulus Ikhlas, PTK Miri 2009' written on it...and not forgetting the syok sendiri photos we took.

...the Long Kang Champion...
...Faiz, Zul, Catherine, Karen, Mr. Azhar (our manager)...

Looking forward to another bowling competition sometime in June and hopefully will be able to participate for the Curtin Open sometime soon............

A very innovative remote control

Things started to spoil ever since we got back to our house; pipe burst, car couldn't start, car tyre puncture, washing machine leaking, window pane gone!, and the air conditioning remote control was not functioning well.

So, we started fixing it one by one and for now, washing machine leaking, window pane gone! and air conditioning remote control is still not fix. This is a story of the air cond's remote control.

...this is a normal remote...

...this is a very not-normal remote...

We managed to open the remote and started fixing the batteries. It was functioning for a while but after several attempts, we've decided to climb up the table to turn on and off the air cond and can only slower or higher the air cond speed with the remote. The other functions in the remote is not functioning...........

As long as it is still functioning, we're not going to get a new one :)

With Stiches in My Mouth

...mine was rather in Level 4...

Finally, it's my dental appointment~ happy?...NO!
Had the appointment made about a week ago. I drove myself down to Miri Hospital for my 9am appointment with the dentist. There weren't much people in the specialist clinic. I waited for half an hour to have my xray (I love the xray machine...it's so COOL~). After the xray, I waited for another 15 minutes before I was brought to the medical examination room where I met my dentist and his assistant (a trainee). He was a funny dentist, though. He went and checked on my xray while I was left with one medical staff who was telling me how the procedure will be and how much it will cost.

The big question came: You need to do the surgery. When do you want to do it?
I was left silent on the chair for a moment. My thought was that if I NEED to do the surgery, then I'll do both at the same time. But, the doctor wasn't keen to do it. So I chose to first do the one on my left.

The medical staffs came in and prep the room...wah~ lots of equipments. My body was shaking uncontrollably (I was damn scared!). So I called mum to inform her and called my housemate after.

The dentist injected the anesthetic (lots of times) and kept asking if it was painful. The funny thing was he didn't tell me what sign should I show if it's painful and if it's not. So i just nod and put my thumbs up. 'Your sign is confusing,' the dentist later said. -.-"

The surgery went for about half an hour. There were 3 trainees, 3 other medical staffs looking at me when the dentist did the surgery! There were cutting, grinding, scrapping, pushing, sewing to get the tooth out and put the gums back.

I walked out of the clinic and found out that I don't bring enough money to pay, so I decided to head for the pharmacy first and later to airport to get money and back to hospital to pay the RM240 for the whole procedure.

It is seriously painful and now it is starting to swell. Good thing is that I have the whole weekend until Monday to have the swell subsides before going to campus.

~Now I'm one more tooth less~

Swim'ing and Futsal'ing

Date: 3rd March 2009

As I have mentioned before in the previous post, the next post will be about Swim'ing and Futsal'ing. Just got back from an hour of swimming and an hour of futsal practice and now, I'm dead tired. My body is shutting down every minute but there's still lots of work to do.

It will be an intense training for the next two weeks for the Futsal Competition on the 17th, 18th and 19th March and...not forgetting my Bowling Competition (representing Curtin University) on the 14th March!

I need very long rest this weekend, that's for sure!

But no doubt, these exercises I'm going through made me feel fresh and energetic after...hoping for a good night sleep.

Karate'ing

The previous post was: Gym'ing
This post is: Karate'ing
The next post will be: Swim'ing
And the following will be: Futsal'ing

~trying to build up my stamina~

Finally I'm taking Karate seriously, although not planning yet to go for any serious grading, but at least I'm starting to love Karate~ Learnt lots of moves and surprisingly I manage to do push ups non stop! :)

As for this semester, every Monday, 8.00pm-10.00pm, it's my KICK-ASS time!
