Going for church camp!

My last church camp, if not mistaken, was in Form 3... after years of leaving the camp behind, it's back to facilitating again!!!

Finally, one of the interesting things to do this holiday is here! CHURCH CAMP!!! This time, it's in St. Peter's Church, Padungan. There will be 56 children age 7 to 12 years old participating in this camp. It took me a long while to get hold of the person-in-charge. Only yesterday, I managed to call him and confirmed my participation in the camp along with two friends; Tiffany and Angeline.

Half way through the conversation... (on the phone)

V: I heard from your dad that you were a YCS?

K: Yes. It was a long time ago.

V: Then do you still remember the action songs?

K: ~~~~~~~~ *whispering* not again.......!!!!

V: I'm incorporating action songs into the camp as well.

K: I still remember some of them...not all though....it's been a long time...

*I can never escape from 'ACTION SONG'!!!*

Anyway, I can't wait for the camp starting this Wednesday to Friday!!!

Enchanted!

Yes! I went to cinema! Finally after months and months of movie maniac moment...

25.11.07
Metrowealth Cineplex, Riverside.

Confusion happens in the airport but it's okay... Angeline, her family and I went for breakfast at BDC and later went over to her house to see where it is *need to know where she lives*...then we decided to go for a movie. *she just arrived and went straight to movie...???* Instead of heading to Star Cineplex, we went to Riverside and went for Metrowealth and to my surprise, the ticket price was only RM8!!! It's the first day of show and it's only RM8!!! WOW!!!

anyway...
it was a free-sitting movie. The movie started later but damn, it was such a nice movie!!! It's been a long time since I watched Fairy Tales and bang!, this is a true Fairy Tale movie. It starts and ends with the classical way of storytelling (book opening and closing)... storyline was okay... unexpected at first but when you watch on, it was expected...

movie's about almost 2 hours long. it was comical as well. it's just a very classical cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid; but, only that this movie involves real people also... yes! It was a great movie!!!

I won't mind watching the second time in the cinema...
It is an Enchanted film!

things students do when cops comes into play

*Cerita ini hanya rekaan semata-mata. Cerita ini tiada kaitan dengan yang hidup dan yang mati.*

...a story that impressed me a lot... read on and leave your comments on this story...

Title: A 'Kuku' Night (A 'Liquor Overdosed' Night)

Two university students, named only "C" and "I" (names changed for security purposes) decided to go for an 'all night long' party with their friends and so they did. There were free flows of liquor and music throughout the night in the club. They met more people there and made new friends too. It was time they headed to a 24 hour convenient store for a cup of coffee and chit-chat all morning long.

It was until about 3.30am where finally, "I" was sleeping deadly in the car, leaving "C" chit-chatting with her friend. Soon at about 5am, they decided to leave the store.... now the story begins...

1. Leaving from the 24-hour store to the highest lookout point in the city

C (Driving) : R’ you ok at the back?

I (Mumbling) : ummmmmmmm.......

C : Sigh..........

2. Reaching the t-junction

C (Driving) :*Should be this way, I guess* Hey, ....

I (Snoring)

C : Never mind.

3. On the hill

C (Killed the engine)

I .................................................................................................

After a moment of silence on the hill...

4. Police came!

C (Blur) : whispering *Someone came here at this moment? Two guys? Must be a couple*

I (Snoring)

5. The couple talked to us!

Couple A : Kamu buat apa? (Turning on the flashlight) Kita polis. Kamu seorang di Wah! Si ni? (Pointing to I with flashlight)

Couple B : Kamu dari mana?

C (Chewing gum): Oh, dia kawan saya. Sedang tidur. *Dang, the couple are COPS.*

Couple Cop B : Kamu dari mana?

Cop A : Buat apa di sini malam ini?

Cop B : Kamu dari mana?

Cop A (Walked to C): Tunjuk driving license. (C handed the dl to him)

Cop B : ..................Kamu dari mana?

C (just realized the question): Oh, saya dari KL.

C : Ampang.

Cop A : Buat apa di sini masa ini?

C : Kami sedang tunggu matahari. Nak ambil gambar matahari.

Cops : Ohhh...

Cop A: : Kamu kerja sini?

C : Bukan..dari ****** (name of a university in Malaysia).

Cop B : Oh, ajar di ****** lah?

Cop A (Reading the driving license): Ampang...KL...hey budak ni dari semenanjung..

C : Oh bukan. Kami belajar kat ****** .

Cops : Ohhh...

Cop B : Habis buat apa di sini?

C (Can’t he give a new question?): Kami sedang tunggu matahari come out. Nak ambil gambar matahari.

Cop A : Kamu belajar apa?

C : Saya pelajar engineering *wait, that doesn’t make sense to the overall story* Dia (pointing to I), belajar mass comm

Cops : Ohhh...

C : Yaya, kami datang sini untuk menunggu matahari come out. Hendak ambil gambar semasa ia keluar.

Cop B : (After reading the driving license). Ok, (handing the dl to C), kamu dua jaga baik baik ya.

C : Okay. Boleh.

6. The cops were leaving

One of the cops: Budak ******...blablablablaba

Another cop : Yalah blablablabla

7. The cops left

Silence..

I : Did the police come just now.

C : *Yes you moronly **** They left.

C&I : (laughing)

I(went back to sleep)

8. They missed the sunrise moment

C : Darn it!!!

After reading this story, I was quite surprised what university students can do during their free time... enjoy!

Reformatted!

My laptop was admitted to ICU last Friday for services and also to purchase my adapter which I was burnt not long ago...and...today, I went and collect my laptop and to my surprised, it was REFORMATTED!!!!!!!!!!

NO!!! Everything is in my laptop and reformatting it just cleans and deletes everything away... now, I'll have to sit in front of it, reinstall every single program into it, crack the programs and make sure it's as original as it was before reformatting....

the adapter, on the other hand, cost me RM280!!! just because my laptop was really old and the new adapter dont seemed to fit the point, so the old adapter's price is really really expensive... sigh~~

time to reinstall everything back to my laptop.....

Getting bored in just a week...

SIGH~~
Three months holiday...
What can I do???

It's only been a week since I got back to Kuching and I'm getting bored as the days pass. There's nothing here for me to do other than waking up early in the morning, breakfast, head to town to help mum to cook lunch, lunch, home, dinner, sleep... what more can I do? hmm...

other than updating this blog and go online, chatting with peps, play neopets, I'm totally out of ideas to fill up my time. Im waiting for several photos from my frens to update this blog but I'm still waiting......................

anyway, I'm hoping to get the attachment in Cats FM in January. At least I can do something useful a month before heading back to Miri. December is a time for me to have a long holiday; as long as I can, with things to do, of course... coz it's my birthday and it's XMAS!!!

anyone free in Kuching, buzz me and let's go yam cha!!! hehe....

Party till we're purple

14th November 2007
11.00pm

First stop, Cherrie Berries.
Yup, it's time to raid the clubs in Miri before the 3 month long holidays. It was a girls' nite out for three of us; Cath, Sam and I.

Ladies' nite = free drinks

It was quite a boring one, though. Most people are still at home, cracking their heads for their finals, but, there we were, checking out the clubs there with free flow of liquors and music. We were at Cherrie Berries for an hour before heading to Balcony for better music and drinks. Yup, and also, we bumped into people whom we knew from campus...hmm...what not to expect, right.
Music was better and drinks were free flowing like waterfall. Lights were blarring in my eyes and it was quite uncomfortable, though, for me. But, anyway, it's for the fun of it. We chilled in Balcony until almost 2am and finally decided to leave for Thai Bar but we didn't make it there. We were finally chilling out outside the 24 hour shop until the next morning, before heading to the airport for my flight back to Kuching.

It was the greatest time I ever had since I came to Miri, or should I say, since forever..........
CHEERS!!!

a flight to remember

15th November 2007
8.35am

My flight bound for Kuching was rescheduled twice from the origin time which was supposed to be at 2.30pm to 11.30am to 8.30am. Other than screwing up my plans, I was glad to be able to go home earlier.

It was a flight to remember. I never had such an experience flying before ever since I started flying 12 times a year since 2004.

I woke up in Cath's car, right outside the airport. It took me a while to get myself on my feet and went over to the counter for check-in. My luggage overweight 3kg and I had to pay RM30 for it. I was so broke and all that was left in my pocket was RM10. After checking in, Cath and I went for coffee in the airport. We were supposed to head to Riam for coffee but I wasn't able to walk any further anymore. The coffee did woke me up a little. Then it was time to get my hand luggage and head to the departure hall for boarding. I bid farewell to my friend and went into the hall and waited; staring blankly on the floor for 10 minutes. The announcement came and everyone lined up to board the plane. It took a while before my queue moved. As I approached the door, I had a sudden feeling that I was going to faint. I could barely see anything around me and the sounds were ringing in my ears. I quickly took a sit and eased myself for 5 minutes and continued my walk towards the airplane. I sank on the seat and closed my eyes and later I was about to vomit. I asked for plastic bag from the flight attendant and held it closely with me. I had chewing gum in my mouth throughout the whole flight and I woke up in Kuching. I carried both my heavy bags and stopped for a seat twice before reaching the luggage hall. I pushed a trolley and sat there, waiting for my luggage. After taking them, I went outside and called my mum and quickly threw everything into the car and left the airport. Just a minute away from the airport, my mum stopped the car and finally, I threw up. ~It was a relieve~

I reached home and sank into bed until 2.30pm. It was such an experience for me...

MIIM

MIIM

aka

Malaysia Institute of Integrative Media

(formerly known as Academy TV3)

I was a student here in this college. I was someone who was stupidly enough to enrol myself in this college. I was naive enough to be in this college.

But, I was glad that I went there to study because this college had taught me a lot about being independent and being strong in life. I went through 3 years of hell there in KL, but, these 3 years of hell made me to be someone who is psychology, physically and mentally strong.

Today, after a year leaving the college, many things happened. I heard many news about the college being bankrupt, mortgage, sold... *I haven't got my Diploma certificate yet! So don't shut the college down!!! Wait!!!*

Well, so that was the news. But, all I can say is that MIIM was a hell of a place to study because 90% of the people there are lazy-bones, whereas only 10% of the people there work their ass off to get credits. Somehow, the 90% get more credits than the 10%.

Projects were great. We learn a hell lot of things there; mostly practical. We learn all about cameras, lightings, audios, designs, multimedias... Work was oookkkllllaaa... Our finals are only 40% coz we have 60% of practical works and assignments. That was the cool part about MIIM.

There's only one cafeteria which sells the same food everyday - fast food! We had no choice but to eat there or we take a ride to Carrefour for more choices. So, food was very limited. Especially when it's 'Bulan Puasa' where the cafeteria is closed for a month! Come on, people~! There are other people there who are eating! I know, I know, the college is like 90% dominated by the Malays but the authorities have to think about the other 10%!

We have only 5 floors. Everything is in one building. No doubt that the building looks very grand from the outside, sitting on top of a hill, but, the inside...hmm...it's rubbish. We see everyone, everywhere and everytime. One library, two computer labs - only for MIIM students, one cafeteria, one studio and one IMC. Pathetic~! By the way, we share the same place with another group of students from another different college...so, they have much more priority compared to MIIM students. Everything is theirs, that's for sure...

Above all that I critic, I met a lot of friends there who 50% are good friends, 50% are bad friends. I learn to make a difference about friendship there.

To the 50% of my good friends: "I miss you guys!"

To the 50% of my bad friends: "I wish you well!"

So long and goodbye to MIIM...

*I still want my diploma certificate and better make sure I have them by February 2008!*

FINALS!!!

YES! IT'S FINALS!!!

But...
I only have one exam; MARKETING 100...

I know that it is quite 'menggeramkan' when I say I only have one unit for exam but what am I supposed to do... the fact that I'm taking Bachelor in Mass Communication (majoring in (1)Media, Communication & Information, (2) Film & Television, (3) Marketing)... I don't have to go for many many exams...

kekekeke...

Anyway, FINALS, in my dictionary means:
1. End of the semester
2. A semester lesser
3. End of all assignments
4. End of all exams
5. End of a period of my study life
6. Moving out!
7. Chilling out with friends
8. Party till I turn purple! *but that never happens, YET!*
9. Going to the airport
10. MY LONG HOLIDAY!!!

YES!
THAT'S ME DURING FINALS!!!

Monday, November 5, 2007

It's November!

Yes! It's November...
And that means, it's end of the semester...

Mass Communication students are done with all MCI and FTV units for this semester. As for me, it's done for MCI 102, MCI 112 and FTV 111. But, Marketing 100 is still in progress for the final exam on the 12th November 2007 at 9am.

It has been four months since I came into Curtin University...
It has been five months since I last worked in KL...
It has been a year since I started working in KL...
It has been more than a year since I last met my college friends in KL...
It has been four years since I entered Academy TV3...
It has been a long time since I left high school...

Ok...what am I talking here...
But, yes! It's NOVEMBER!!!

Another one week to moving out from hostel to Senadin...
Another one week to fly back home for 3 months...
Another month to being 21 years old...
Another month to XMAS...
Another month to 2008...

Counting down...
And, YES!!! IT'S NOVEMBER!!!
