First day of going to gym with Catherine and Jun Kai somewhere in Saberkas, Miri. Good thing is that we paid RM5 per person for 2 hours only.

It's off for a full disciplined workout sessions from today onwards.
Wednesday and Friday for gym, Monday for Karate, in between for futsal practices and every morning for short sit ups and push ups...

...just find this cartoon interesting, but it's not me the cartoon is referring too...

Final Year, Final Semester

Back in Miri means back to school...to be exact, back to university, but this time it feels rather different. I still couldn't believe that I have already completed one and a half year here in Curtin and now pursuing in my final semester, means I'll be leaving Miri, leaving 3946, leaving my friends and graduate in the next couple of months..............

First week of class is always the fun part. Why? Timetable clashes, amendments, new classrooms, new classmates, meeting back friends after a very long holiday...

This semester is tough, not because of the tons of projects I'm involve, but because I have to take THREE marketing units at the same time! ...one already half dead, what more 3... Yes, THREE!
1) Marketing Research
2) International Marketing
3) Marketing of Services

My timetable is finally fix with not much of clashes and changes:
- Monday: FREE! NO CLASS!
- Tuesday: 2 Marketing lectures back-to-back in the afternoon
- Wednesday: 1 Marketing lecture in the morning and 2 Marketing tutorials back-to-back
- Thursday: 1 Marketing tutorial and 1 Mass Comm lecture
- Friday: 1 Mass Comm tutorial

School of Business get to use the new building (which is still in construction). New lecture rooms, new classrooms, new toilets... just that the aircond is damn cold!!! It's funny to see students wondering around finding their classrooms on the first few days of classes (I was one of those students -.-" )

The first week of classes is OVER! Assignments are piling up and just a while ago, I filled up my assignment charts and WOW~ it is indeed a very busy semester, and not forgetting Project Care current and future projects, JCLA Market Research for the Blind Centre, AppleBox Pictures activities...

Am filing up my time with activities:
1. Karate Trial Classes every Monday
2. CSS Meeting every Friday
3. Gym every weekend
4. Futsal Competition
5. Bowling Competition (anyone wants to play for the competition???)
6. Helping up Mass Communication Department with the grand opening of the new building cum 10th anniversary of Curtin Sarawak
7. Graduation ceremonies
8. Miri Jazz Festival volunteering
..........unending lists!

And not forgetting my FIRST TIME TO BRUNEI soon! with my new passport!!! :)

All the best to everyone this semester!
Let's see what's in store for me this final semester~

Back in Miri after 80 days of Holiday in Kuching

19th February 2009
I've finished my 80 days of holiday in Kuching and today, I am off to Miri to complete my final semester. It was a very long day since the moment I woke up: last minute packing, breakfast, tapau'ing all the necessary food, say my goodbyes to grandma and aunt in the shop, to the airport, flight delayed, spring clean...

Yes, I'm back home...in MIRI...not Kuching.
A long weekend ahead with JCLA Advance Workshop and the start of the new semester~

Off We Go Our Separate Ways...Again~

Me ole' friend, Valerie came back from Tazmania for her sister's wedding last December and to complete her internship. Sudah lama tak jumpa! Imagine knowing each other since we were just babies until today. Lots to tell and share of each other and after two months plus here in Kuching, we are going our separate ways again.

Coincidentally, our flights are just next to each other tomorrow, 19th February, so we planned to meet up at the departure hall before saying our goodbyes. Valerie will be off to Tazmania and I'll be off to Miri and in another 4 months, we're both graduating! ...something to look forward to...

...good luck to both of us...

2nd Tooth Extraction

I had to go for my 2nd appointment with the dentist last Sunday to extract another top wisdom tooth. It took me a week to finally have the first extraction's pain relief...although now it's still aching once in a while, especially when I'm eating...

...my left and right top wisdom teeth...

The moment the dentist saw me entering the room, she immediately knew what I was there for. She gave me two shots of anesthetic and this extraction was a little difficult than before. She failed on the first attempt. Lucky I couldn't feel any pain as she tried the second time. She immediately asked the nurse to bag my tooth for me :)

So now, I have four holes on my top gums and am preparing myself for the surgery (if necessary...coz if it's not necessary, I would opt not to do it).

Q: How many teeth does a normal adult have?
A: 32

Now I have 30 teeth (include the 2 bottom wisdom that has yet to be extracted). So I'm not normal! Hahahaha... sigh~ will have lesser teeth once the other 2 teeth are extracted.

Planet Shakers Concert in Kuching

Date: 13th February 2009
Venue: AEC, Kuching

It isn't the first time Planet Shakers made their way to Sarawak, but this time, it was for the launching of Youth Alpha. I got to know of the concert through Aaron and ajak'ed Jessica, Tiffany and Cindy for it.

Before the concert, Jessica and I went out for a little walk-a-bout in Kuching and we stopped by at Bing! where I met Adrienne who was helping her sister with the Valentine's Day event at Bing! Had a drink there before leaving for a movie: NEW IN TOWN, starring Renee Zellweger. After movie was to Chica.go 7 for dinner before meeting Tiffany and Cindy at AEC for the concert.

Met Annabel and Angeline (the Gowbei twins) there too. Lots of KIDS! There were a whole bunch of people but surprisingly not many cars...reason being that those kids had their parents drive them there... I didn't know how full the place was coz I was kindda in front, near the stage with my SLR, snapping whatever I can snap. It was fun! and at some point it was a reflection.

...Jessica, Cindy, Angeline, Tiffany, Annabel and me...

...the band...

The concert ended at about 10pm. So the girls decided to have a drink nearby and we ended up at Scoops with Aaron. Well, the one guy sitting at the corner of the table listening to girl talks.

The one song that caught me that night was 'Rain Down'... I'm loving this song now, especially after getting it from Jessica (autographed CD by the band).

RAIN DOWN
-Planet Shakers-
I am falling to my knees
I need You Lord to breathe in me
My prayer is still the same
My heart is calling out Your name

Sweet anointing fill this place
I am found in Your embrace

Rain down on me
Rain down on me
Here in Your presence I am free
Pour down like rain
Come and touch me again
Lord let Your presence fall on me

I'm longing just to see
Your power and Your majesty

Sweet anointing fill this place
I am found in Your embrace

Sweet anointing
Wash me over
Sweet anointing
Wash me over

Had a great time that night with friends whom I haven't seen in ages and it was indeed a night of reflection.

How I Celebrated Valentine's Day...

Every year, the streets in Kuching will be filled with stalls selling roses, teddy bears...whatever gifts you can think off for Valentine's Day. I recall hoping each year that Valentine's Day falls on either a Saturday or Sunday when I was still in school.

The girls: Angeline Gowbei, Cindy, Jessica and I (Tiffany was supposed to be included but last minute had to leave back to Desa Ilmu) went out for lunch at After 3 and went chilling, helping Cindy to decide on her shades she plan to buy and later a drink at Bing!.

...Jess and I at Bing!...

Mum decided to have steamboat dinner to celebrate Valentine. We had a reservation at My House Steamboat after church. The place was pack and we had to wait for 10 minutes to get our satay and kebab -.-"

It was after dinner that Dad drove the lorry back home and Mum followed, so Aaron and I sneaked out way to Crystal for 2 rounds of bowling. Both dateless on Valentine. The moment we reached the alley, Akon's Mr. Lonely was playing. Deng~ Aaron and I laughed at each other for being dateless last night (can't believe I'm talking about this topic with my little brother). Well, this will be my last bowling game here in Kuching and yippie! I pecah all my records playing bowling this holiday~!

...that was another ordinary day...

Of Passport and Benjamin Button

Collected my passport today! YIPPIE! After 10 years...........
It was a very long couple of days just to get the passport applications done. Day 1, I manage to just collect the form and pay RM1.00 coz the office was pack with people. Day 2, I manage to pay RM300, submit the form and necessaries. Day 3, I manage to pick up the passport!

I was laughing my head off that day when I first saw my 1st passport I had, coz the picture in it was back when I was 8! My passport expired 10 years ago in 1999 and only in 2009 that I manage to get it renew! Say me lame but my first destination with my passport is to...BRUNEI!!! *it's the nearest to Miri and can be assessable by road*

..........

I found out, throughout this holiday that watching movie is a good way of releasing stress coz I seemed to concentrate on the movie and in between that hours, my mind is away from all the jumbled up stuffs.

Had been eagerly waiting for this movie and apparently, in Star, the movie poster wrote Feb 12 for this movie but it already in the cinema since last week. Anyway, managed to get RM8 for this movie today.

It was quite a long and draggy movie but no doubt, it is great! One great point from this movie is Brad Pitt! Deng~ they managed to make him look so old and yet can also make him look so young. Love the makeups in this film! It is a very interesting movie to watch make sure you have popcorns coz it might bore you a little in between.

Between 'Valkyrie' and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'...
hmm...I can't choose! I love both!

Road to Recovery

It took me about a week to feel better...but there's still things that I'm worried, frustrated, beating myself about, but sooner or later, I have to let it go.

Am in the road to recovery...
1. Toothache!
Yes, my tooth is still aching after the first extraction. Maybe coz it was the wisdom tooth and its huge, that's why it affects my other teeth. And, not forgetting I'm going for another extraction, and this time, I need the pain to go away before embarking on another pain...

2. Facial treatment
AH! Deng~ the treatment this time is different from the first one. It hurts! It feels like sand paper rubbing against your skin! But, lucky me, this will be my last treatment...no more seeing this doctor anymore :)

3. Leaving home...again~
Yes, I'll be leaving home again. And this is like the X amount of times I leave home for a long period of time and yet, the 'home sick' feeling is still there. Sigh~ apala, been through that for like 5 years and still the feeling is still there. Anyway, I think most people do feel home sick too, rite?

4. Getting myself back on my feet
Argh! It's not like it never happened before. College life, interning life, working life and now university life. Things happened which got me really down and vulnerable. But, why should I let these things get in my way?! So, yea, I'm getting myself back on my two feet and be tough to get over with my last semester in Curtin.

5. Independent
Love the Neyo - Miss Independent song. It's out of the topic. But anyway, I somehow felt bad for being dependent on people, not that I'm not independent. One thing's for sure, I learn a lot the past one and a half year in Curtin and yes, I'm gonna be tough and very independent and put myself first. Though I care very much for the people around me, but sometimes we just need to care for ourselves. :)

6. Mac
My mac is acting up on me again. Maybe because I'm over burdening it with all the video files in it and most of the fonts in the internet is weird....and I seriously mean...WEIRD! Trying to get this fix before going back to Miri...

Many things are better to be kept.
But, it takes time to recover from certain things.

I pray that those friends of mine who are also in tough situations and trying to find their way to the road to recovery will find guidance from God to seek for their answers.

It comes to an end...

It is almost the end of my very long holiday... (1st December 2008 - 18th February 2009)

One more week to get everything I need done and there I'll be flying back to Miri to complete my final semester. There were complications before and I thought at least the holidays will clear of some complications but nah, I was so wrong. It got more complicated and I'm still struggling to find my way.

As time passes, things changed. I've learn the hard way of 'no-more-planning-for-my-future-after-graduation'. My original holiday plans which I planned months before the holidays were all down the drain and even just a simple planning to settle something off for the project was also in a mess, but thank God that that part of the project has been settled and now we're all waiting for the results.

It is sad to think about it that my June-July roadtrip has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I'm for once very lost and given up in planning for what is ahead after my graduation. Will just follow the flow~

It is time to slowly let go off the things I cared for and it is another preparation to say my goodbyes to the friends I have. But I hope that at least it will be a proper goodbye...not a sudden and shocking one.

It will be a long wait to find out...
But I pray that everything will be alright.

Valkyrie

Unexpected things happened during the weekend and am still praying that everything will be fine.

One way to get rid of the troubles in my head was to go out and let it all out. Movie was one good option. Jessica accompanied me for 'Valkyrie' in Star at 11pm last night. It started out 'not so good' as all the movie trailers were of horror and gores. But, as the movie started, I cleared my mind and enjoyed the movie - at least I have the 2 hours of 'not-thinking-of-all-the-problems'.

It amazed me especially on the characters. The Adolf Hitler in the movie is 'dua kali ganda' the real Adolf Hitler! O.O amazing~ I salute the heroes (in reality) who actually stood up and sacrifice their lives to defend the people... hmm... *whispering* wondering when will be the day that one Malaysian will stand up and do what's right for the country...

For those who love war/military movies or true stories...and of coz, Tom Cruise's fans, this is one movie to watch in the cinema. :)

I Long for a BlackBerry~

My phones are dying one by one, starting from my very old Nokia 2100 phone just recently and luckily after servicing, my LG phone is still functioning and I hope that it will stay alive at least until I get my new phone when I start working this mid year. I find myself to be so fond of gadgets. As I mentioned before, these are the list of items that I must have:

1. SLR Camera (purchased June 2007)
2. MacBook (purchased June 2008)
3. Semi-professional camcorder
...and now, adding another to my list is a...BLACKBERRY!

...one of the BlackBerry models...

At first, I opted for an iPhone but after taking much considerations and researching from current BlackBerry users, I find that purchasing a BlackBerry is more worth it than purchasing and iPhone especially that I will need internet access everywhere I go. :) Well, it's a SmartPhone!

This means, work harder to earn more money to get my BlackBerry!

...hoping to get this by end of this year...

Extracting Teeth!

...here's a souvenir from the dentist...

It has been months I had pains on my gums and only today I went to the dentist for a checkup. After an x-ray, the dentist told me that my bottom wisdom teeth will not grow coz it's slanted and both my top wisdom teeth is biting on my lower gums which causes swellings and pain.

The option are:
1. To extract both my upper wisdom teeth
2. A surgery to remove the lower wisdom teeth which is still inside the gum

*Cry Cry!*
I decided to extract one out of two upper wisdom tooth today and will be extracting another one next week. Schedule for surgery will be done only when I'm back in Miri...

pain...pain...pain...

R.I.P. Nokia 2100

February 2004 - February 2009

This phone of mine was my very first phone I bought with my RM300 salary a month taking care of kids back after my SPM. Back then this phone was only RM300. And though it took many hard falls throughout the years, all I need to change was just the casing and the keypads.

Two months ago, it died suddenly and only recently that I took it for a check and it was officially pronounced 'dead'.

...There goes my first cellphone. It's currently 'resting-in-peace' in my drawer...

Brendan Fraser's INKHEART

...how does it feel like to have stories come to life?...

Me likey this movie.
Although it was a little confusing when it comes to what it real and what is not, but it's Brendan Fraser! :)
Predictable, imaginative...

St. Jude Kindergarten Class of 1991

...I'm somewhere somewhere in this photo. Guess where I am...

one of the guys had this photo up in Facebook. So is the Class of 1992 but the photo wasn't a full one. was looking for this picture at home and there I found it in Facebook!

Running Out Of Time...Again~

Yes, I'm running out of time again...for the endless amount of time (it happens every holiday I have since I started studying in KL 5 years ago).

It's Day 63 of my holiday in Kuching; Christmas is over...2008 is over...Chinese New Year is almost over... and I'm still lazing my way to finish up all my work (which was supposed to be done a month ago).

So, it's a two weeks of pia'ing to settle all the necessary things before leaving back to Miri this 19th February: fixing both my cellphones, complete the JCLA video, compile AppleBox Pictures documents, settling matters with Project Care's supplier, go see dentist.................
