Futsal Tournament 2007 (Day 3)

23rd August 2007, Thursday.
3rd day of the tournament. First game we played against 'Kissing Bandits'. It was the nicest game we'd ever played in the tournament. I became the goalie, replacing Pravina but apparently, I couldn't save two goals. But, Tim scored a goal too. Although we lost, it was a nice game. Score: 2-1
Our second game was tough. Pravina stayed as goal keeper while I played defending with Priyanka. We were on our mission to kick ass and win this match. Jess was playing too and guess what, we won!!! Score: 2-1 It was the best game we ever had!!!

WOW!!! HAKUNA MATATA KICK ASS!!!

Although we are not going forward to the next round, but we did kick ass.... CHEERS!!!

Futsal Tournament 2007 (Day 2)

22nd August 2007, Wednesday.
It's the second day for the Curtin Futsal Tournament and my team were up against a malay team called 'Belle'. Our game started at about 8.45pm with the opponent's first goal in the second minute. But, it was tough playing with these malay girls because they push and push and push us around to get the ball.
Well, it wasnt' nice as my goalkeeper was injured on her right hand, our striker hurt her ankle, our midfielder was hurt on her knee and our defender had the ball kicked on her face. SIGN!
Can't these girls play nice???
Well, day 3 is our revenge day. Two more matches to go!

Futsal Tournament 2007 (Day 1)

21st August, 2007 (Tuesday)
First day of Futsal Tournament for Semester 2. We are called 'Hakuna Matata' playing against 'Kissing Bandits'. There were a bunch of people watching the matches held from 6pm onwards in the Multipurpose Hall. At first, we were all nervous. The team comprises of Pravina (captain), Jenny, Tim, Priyanka, Jesse and Navorli.
I started playing about three minutes after 1st half started, sub with Navorli as she was injured from our friendly match last week. We started playing. It was tough playing a real match. But, we carried on the game and eventually, there was a lucky goal from our opponent and we ended the match with 1-0.
It was a good game and we'll be meeting 'Kissing Bandits' again on Day 2 with another team...
ALL THE BEST!

Piggies, oh piggies

Why do they never learn? I pity them; brainless and useless. Their brain never works, only the mouth. Piggies, I have pity on you.
Why are you gifted that way? I show my condolences to you. You will never change and that's where you will be until you do.
Why have you forsaken yourself? I respect you. You are who you are and no one can ever change you. Only the same kind will understand as the same kinds are like yourself.
Piggies, I show no mercy. I'd learn my lesson. 'Bully or be Bullied'. I will not let you have a word about me. I will not let you discriminate me. I will not let you look down on me. I will not be the same girl I was before; being cast away by your kind. I will not let you reign over me. This will not happen to me or my kind.
Piggies, I shall have the honor to sit and watch what you are doing until the day I have my revenge. I have forgiven you but prepare yourself as I will come in a shadow to haunt you until you are afraid of me...
Piggies, oh piggies...

Brains exploding words

Today the MCI 102 lecturer is killing us with tons and tons of work! My brains exploding words already and now I'm going to puke words as well... As I have counted, I will write more than 10000 words for this semester. This is crazy! My head is getting heavier everyday and my schedule is getting cramp with assignments and presentations and exam... HELP ME!!!

Futsal Friendly Match

Sunday, 12 August. 7pm
Futsal friendly match in Multipurpose Hall, Curtin.
Against a group of Nigerian girls...

They are good in futsal...but, they're just playing rough. Most of my team mates are injured. One injured pretty badly after a big fall, another had a punch from the elbow, another had the ball stroke her hands and the rests are suffering from pain being pushed here and there.

It was fun playing but the girls are just too rough. It really could hurt someone. But, the game was a tie; 1-1. Anyway, it was just a friendly match, practicing for the tournament.

We'll be seeing the girls again this Sunday for another friendly match...

PLAY SAFE!

Futsal everyday...

How tiring to play futsal everyday. An hour of practice until our tournament end of this month. The team consists of 7 girls in it. We practice and practice; first in the football field and just today, we get to play in the futsal court... It's so cool to play. I'm still in a bit of surprise because I'm actually playing for a tournament...Hmm...never thought I'll take futsal seriously. But, it's worth the exercise we go through everyday...just feeling so energetic and fresh after the running around...

Can't wait for the tournament!

CONGRATULATIONS G&G!!!

Congratulations to the G&G production team and crews...Finally it's over. The season's shoot is also over and now, everyone can have a good rest. Go for a vacation, you guys; take the 3 months stress of your shoulder and get a grip of reality back! You deserve the RESTS you need! Chill out and enjoy!

God Bless you always and Charmed Always!!!

Goalposts and Lipsticks

Goalposts and Lipsticks aka Gol & Gincu it's already in Season 2 this year, airing on 8TV every Sunday, 10pm. Be sure to catch it on TV!

The people behind Gol & Gincu Season 2

The one in 'gray army' shirt is our ever creative Art Director, Gwo Yunn. Creative, innovative, motivative...hehehe... Beside her, wearing 'Fly FM' shirt would be our very, very, very responsible Line Producer who is, well, strict at work but crazy off-work. Our big sister is the production!

The boys here, don't get the picture wrong, they are not brothers; although they do look alike. The cute, innocent boy in the 'Major Woody's' shirt is Edmond, G&G Art Department intern who came from KDU. You'll hear us shouting for him, "Edmond! Art Depart!" when we need something on set. The other boy would be Tebby, our Make-up Artist. Don't judge him by his looks, he can be a model!

The girls here, and again, they are not sisters! That would be me, the Assistant Director of G&G. It's not easy being AD, further more when you are totally new in this industry. You'll see me running up and down and up and down to get things done...sigh! Next to me is Enid, Production Co-ordinator for this project. She's our food manager; giving us food on time, making sure that we are not starving, making sure there's titbits around and you will always see her with her file - sticking receipts and counting them four to five times to get it right!

Pauline, our Conti-girl - the one with cap. She is such a 'computer'. She manages to remember every single movement the actors do...She's loud as well and sometimes has her own 'wind' when she's not getting what she wants. The other girl would be Man Ying, an intern also from KDU. Hmm...she's a petite, quiet girl but when both Edmond and Man Ying is around... something fishy is going on between them two...

Umm...let's see how we work...

Keong arranging himself in the car. He's going to sit there and shoot...

Crews setting up with Jib Arms...

It's not a flat tire but we are only taking out the tire for the shoot...

Well, when production team go crazy, this is what happens...

Once upon a time...Series 1

Title : EJ and Nina's Trip To Kuching
Year : February 2005

We had a week holiday and that's where EJ and Nina decided to do a trip to Kuching; me being their tour guide...

Obviously both of them really wanted to be eaten by the lion there!??

This is Nina, an Iban mix Kelabit girl; the ONLY Iban mix Kelabit girl in my class. Don't judge her by her good looks. She's a tough gal if you want to know...

And this would be EJ aka Juraidah Harry. A Malay girl with an English name. She another one tough gal I know who's good in designing templates, animations, etc...

Last but not least, that's me! That is my video camera my parents bought. I documented the trip a little...but...I can't remember where the tapes are now...sigh!

And this is the group picture of EJ (from the left), me, my mum and Nina posing outside Cats' Museum.

My Little Bedroom

After moving from Kuching to KL to PJ and now, I'm in Miri... I've changed 5 rooms since I started nomad-ding around. This time, I'm in a hostel called Lakeside Apartment just 5 minutes walk across a bridge to campus. There are a lot of facilities here but it's not of use for me...

Introducing...
This is my room...to be exact, my space.... It's a twin sharing room with ceiling fan. There are 2 wardrobes, 2 beds and mattress, 2 tables and chairs and a shelf. It's quite spacey and most important, it's comfortable! It's messy by the way, assignments are killing me and I have no time to arrange them properly...excuse me for that!

And this would be...
This is my table...and that's my new printer; Canon PIXMA iP1880 which I just bought few days ago. It's just been a week or two since I came here and now my tables are full with books, papers, stationaries and a little dictionary...this is how busy I am with assignments and readings everyday...

Well, that's about it I guess...nothing much to take picture of. Just that...

Check this page out!!!

Guys, do check this page out! If you are Gol & Gincu fans! Peace!

Not understanding what I read

I have been reading over and over and over again but I'm still blur and not able to understand what it means. I just can't get the meaning of it. I hope this is just for now, for the first week of lecture and tutorial. I hope I can get the hang of understanding the text because I will need them every week to do my reading logs. Why is it so hard to understand??? I NEED TO UNDERSTAND!!!

After 4 years leaving YCS

Some may not know what YCS is. YCS is called Young Christian Students. It's like a curriculum club students from Form 1 to Form 5 will probably join. I was a YCSer since Form 1, was being expose to YCS since Primary 5.

So, I left YCS as a Music Minister, in charge of Praise and Worship session for 4 years now and I really miss doing what I did. Just because I wanted to be Praise and Worship minister, I actually made myself; forced myself to learn to play guitar so I successfully know how to play and led the YCS with songs for 2 years.

Back to my story...
So, I have no exposure on Catholic clubs anymore since I left for KL which was in 2004 and the saddest part was I never went for Sunday Mass in KL at all! I was lost in my religion for 3 years! I only went for Mass whenever I am back home in Kuching. There were noone like me when I was studying in KL. It was a very alone time for me.

So now, in Curtin, lucky for me, there is a Catholic club; Catholic Student Society and we had our first meeting today; Friday, 3rd August. It was fun! The fun that I had missed for 3 years! We had Praise and Worship, Games and Food! Well, it's nice being back where I was before in high school. After the meeting, I just felt the weight lifted from my shoulder. It was something that I hadn't felt in years...

Gol dan Gincu on YouTube

Hey guys, whoever is G&G fans, fanatics, crews, whoever who watches G&G, it's on YouTube! Check it out!!!

Serves me RIGHT!

Looking at where I am now, it serves me RIGHT!
Why? You may ask...

Well, I wanted to stay in somewhere quiet, far from busy streets like Kuala Lumpur, away from stressful jobs... and here I am, in a total silent, total stress-free, total urban area; Miri. It's not like I'm complaining about the place here but it's just too far, even it takes about 20-25 minutes just to get down to the city! - can you imagine this! - even if I want to get dinner, the only place I can get food will be the cafe next to my apartment; food's not as great though and it's really expensive!

I'm far from any entertainment other than my laptop which goes online through the campus LAN network but too bad, we have a limit of 150 megabyte only per day, blocked webcam, very x a million sssssslllllloooooowwwww......

I don't have stressful jobs anymore but I am having stressful assignments. Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines... I love not having final exams but the assignments are craaaazzzzyyyy.... 3 subjects with 3 assignments due every week!

Like I said, it SERVES ME RIGHT to wish to be in this place...

From Nikon D40

Well, since I bought myself a new Nikon D40 with my 2 months salary which I worked my ass off, I went experimenting with it. Hmm...I missed my camera so much. I left it in Kuching, sleeping in my mum's cupboard. I will only be seeing my camera again somewhere in October...sigh...

Damn this camera is good. I'm in the process of learning how to use the camera properly but no doubt it's good.

I went to the same location just to take the sunset there. It was just somewhere outside my house. There was a day where my family went out for dinner and I saw a really beautiful sunset; the sun sets at the peak of Mount Serapi with clouds above the sun when it sets. So, my mum and I went there and took a few snaps.

And again, my mum and I went touring around Kuching to take pictures around. This is Tugu Pahlawan; somewhere near my high school. I just love the setting of this place where the trees are diagonally towards the 'tugu'. ahaha...probably I just love my camera...

Currently, Kuching is surrounded by 'red sticker-ed' public transportations. The cabs are red, the bus turned red and even the sampan on Sarawak River is turning RED! Well, Hotlink advertisements are everywhere!

Well, I can't wait to get my hands on my camera again...explore more about it...sigh...
I miss my camera!

Being so perasan now...

Hahaha...I am so perasan right now...
Last Sunday, 29th July 2007, 10pm. I was on TV; acting! But, I couldn't watch it myself because I was in Miri and there was no TV around, even if there is, there is no Astro to watch 8TV. It's sad...
But, those who watched it called me up and told me about it...hahaha...now I am seriously so perasan. I can't wait to watch it myself...
hehehe...

First week of class

It's 30th July 2007.
It's first week of class for my new semester here in Curtin University. Wow, something new...
I was so happy when my units were confirmed; 4 units per semester, how cool is that. Out of the 4 units, only 1 unit with final exams, the other 3 units are all on lectures and tutorials.
Being in a 'seniors'' class is not easy. Everyone knew everyone in the class but not me. Everyone is new to me as I am new to them. Lecturers have all eyes on me being a new student in class.
Prior to my exemption, I would only have to study for 2 years compare to those taking 3 full years. I was exempted with all elective units; 200 credits altogether; a year. Lucky for me too, I was a little more advance with my Diploma as I was exempted for 1 MCI unit...hmm...I don't think anyone understands what I am writing here...wahahaha!
Classes begins at once. Monday to Friday but lucky for me too, I only have probably 11/2 hours to 4 hours of class a day. I can relax a bit...but not for long...
Assignments start this week too! There are so many things I'm not so sure about! I'm doomed!!!
It's another 4 months to go for this semester. Time passes fast...and soon I'll be out of here!
