My First Outstation Recce

It's my first week as a Production Manager for a drama series which will be aired in Astro Citra. First two days in office was a little boring. Seeing everyone so busy here and there in the office while me sitting in the corner, planning out the route for recce and looking up for maps and hotel stay.

Well, it was just for the first two days...

And it was off to Perak for 3 days 2 nights for Recce!!!

Wednesday - 5th August 2009

Sok Peng and I went for a short breakfast just opposite the office and later it was off for the road trip to Perak. The weather was quite bad on the first day. It rained heavily at some parts. Our stops:

Thursday - 6th August 2009

Ipoh is all about food. We had a good meal for dinner the night before and we had a great breakfast too! And...of course, I'm up for the White Coffee! After a fulfilling breakfast, our road trip started. Our stops:

3. Batu Gajah

4. Pasir Pinji

5. Taiping

We had to look for hotel in Taiping as we didn't know whereabout we will be staying. Managed to get a place and after dinner and after internet surfing, it was off to bed.

Friday - 7th August 2009

It was getting more and more tiring. It was our last day and we do hope to make it back to KL by night so we don't have to spend another night in Perak. Our stops:

1. Taiping

We were at Tapah at about 7pm and only left for KL at about 8pm. We made a stop at the highway rest stop for petrol before driving the 1 1/2 hour journey back. We reached PJ at about 10pm for dinner and back to office at 11pm.

It was a very tiring outstation recce but we did get the job done and now it's off to presenting our findings to the director and proceed on with the permissions. We had fun - food, sight seeing, exploring, driving - and my guess is that we will be going off again soon!
