I am back in Miri, after a 5 days 4 nights trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and is going off to Sibu tomorrow by bus with Catherine and Hiew and later to reach Kuching on Tuesday. Will be crashing all my 5 days 4 nights stories into a post...

Day 1 - 1st July 2008
My flight to KK was 30 minutes earlier than expected. Met Gerain in Miri airport as he was flying back to his hometown. Boarded a Proton Waja with the car plate BAMbee 21 and I was so shocked and amazed with the car plate number. Jasmine picked me up from the airport and off to Damai for 'Roti Kahwin' which tasted so delicious~ Headed to the town and went to Warisan Square, Center Point and waited for Burger King to open for my favorite large Whopper~! Yummy~~ Was brought around town and later to Sutera Harbour Resort and I was so taken away by the beautiful scenary. Imagine us by the sea at 12pm where the sun was right on top of our heads. Jas brought me around to the Double Six Memorial, Lintas and Penampang area for look-see and later went back to her house and watched Sweeney Todd while waiting for dinner. Picked Cammy up and went to City Mall where we had Yogur Berry...delicious~...and had our supper - Shen Rou Mee~! Very the delicious leh~~

Day 2 - 2nd July 2008
Met up with Jasmine's friends from JB and KK and off we go from Jesselton Point to Mamutik Island. Surprisingly, student fare is way cheaper and we paid only RM23 for our boat ride from the jetty to Mamutik and later to Manukan and back to the jetty. Cheap~! Mamutik Island was pretty but too bad, there were no fishes around to see. Headed to Manukan Island and had our quick lunch before getting into the sea for snorkeling...and I got a sting from a baby jellyfish... Went back to the jetty at 4pm and headed to Survey Penampang to get the car from Bimaz Tours and picked up Catherine at Burger King and later checked into Tune Hotel, 1 Borneo. The room was so comfy and the shopping center is just right next to us~! Went for a 11.45pm 'Incredible Hulk' show in GSC.

Day 3 - 3rd July 2008
Had a morning walk in town for breakfast. KonLo Mee is so nice~! Met Evonne and Devonne in Jesselton Point and headed to Sapi Island. Sapi is just so beautiful. We decided to go for watersports activities. Had snorkeling first and later was brought out to the sea for Parasailing and Banana Boat. It was awesome!!! Had a quick lunch and later went back to another corner of the island for snorkeling and I saw many many fishes. Got back to the point at 2pm and went back to Tune Hotel for a bath and drove back to town for Chicken Rice. Took a stroll around town from evening til night. The best part of the night was Ms Shenanigan's at Hyatt Hotel. The live band was just great. There were many people there too. Had a round of beer while relaxing with the soothing music.

Day 4 - 4th July 2008
Went to the pasar to get mum the 'Beras Merah' and later to Lintas to have Shen Rou Mee again! Love it to bits~! Drove to the Kadazan Cultural Village somewhere in Penampang and had a short tour. Later drove to the Sabah Museum and was so amazed with the things inside the museum - so complete. I learnt a lot of things from there. Had lunch; Cheese Bake Rice at Char Chan Teng, Warisan Square and dessert in Yogur Berry. Had a round tour in UMS (University Malaysia Sabah) and the view was great! How I wish Curtin has that fantastic campus and view...sigh~ Shopping at 1 Borneo was cool~ lots of shops and food and the best part was, I found the beach pants that I was looking for! Got 2 pieces of t-shirt from Hang Ten too! Dinner at Kenny Rogers before another 11.45pm 'Hancock' movie at GSC.

Day 5 - 5th July 2008
Packing~ Went down to 7eleven for the bubur and an ice-blended Caramel from Starbuck. Checked out from Tune Hotel and took a cab to the airport and back to Miri~

This KK trip was my first holiday by myself and with my friends. It was a great trip especially the island hopping I had. Driving around KK was okay and I didn't even get myself lost!
