Randomness in the Office

...randomness in the office...
picture taken by Lynn Wong

When everyone is stressing at work, we do crazy and weird stuff to destress ourselves. Not to mention now (at this moment) there's drilling, hammering and screwing in the office, right in front of my face. It's annoying and noise polluting but what to do~ With shoots coming up this weekend, and locations suddenly back off, stress comes through my veins. But, I'm looking forward to the shoot for this project called 'CLEVER!'

randomness!

Shrek Forever After...in 3D

It was a Saturday and I had to head down (all the way) to office for 2 casting and a short meeting with the Wardrobe guy. But, lucky me, I had a car to drive! Anyway............ spent the whole morning in the office and later went out for recee with Aileen and Lynn and then, both Lynn and I went for our gym session. This time, I get to do all my routine slowly and completed every exercise.

It was movie time after gym!
And what better movie than SHREK Forever After in 3D!

It was 'CATrastrophic!

I followed Shrek since the first cartoon came out in the cinema and have been loving this cartoon ever since. I wouldn't miss this cartoon for the world~ and further more, it's in 3D! It was no doubt, another great sequel from Shrek. It was hilarious and exciting.

"reDONKEYlous!"

Before the movie started, I managed to sneek out my camera and took photographs.
Looks cool on 3D glasses ma~ *smiles*

...it was a great weekend...

Miri for Graduation

It was time for my graduation~!
Yes! And I had a whole one week to be out of Redang!!!!!!!!! :)

Date: 20th April 2010
Took a Berjaya Air flight from Redang at 12.30pm to Subang Airport and it was my first time to fly in a small airplane with only 40 passengers. I enjoyed the short 45 minutes ride. Upon reaching Subang, I traveled to AmCorp Mall to meet up Choulyee for my things and later met Lynn for dinner at Kim Gary, The Curve.

...Tasik Kenyir...

Date: 21st April 2010
Little did I know that my flight was a transit flight from KL to Miri. So I had to make a stop in Kuching (it was near but yet so far) from home. Reached Miri that afternoon, all worn off but made my way to Curtin to meet everyone! Had a very unplanned yam cha session with Adrienne and Belinda and spent the evening at Mercy Miri Chapter office with Elizabeth before meeting Sharon up for Chicken Maryland at Jingwood.

Date: 22nd April 2010
First thing in the morning, I took the public bus to Park City Everly to Tropical Dives for my first dives in Miri. I buddied with John from Australia and spent the whole day in the sea. It was wonderful~

...the boat at the Marina...

We had our first JCLA Alumni dinner at Marina Bay Seafood Restaurant that night. JCLAs from all batches came together with our facilitators for dinner, catching up and phototaking sessions. Really missed the times we had back during our one year in the academy.

...the JCLAs...

Date: 23rd April 2010
Had breakfast with Joyce at 2020. It's been a while since we last had a good chat. It was a very long day but thanks to the Black Kelisa I rented, I could go around Miri easily...but...as I was heading back to Sharon's place before meeting Catherine up to our longhouse, I got into an accident with a Hilux! What a luck~ So, Catherine came and picked me up to the longhouse before going back to campus for our JCLA Graduation in the Awards Ceremony that evening.

...Project Care finally graduates!...

...the JCLAs...

It was my first time to karaoke. The media students (as usual, we are a crazy bunch of people), went for karaoke session right after the ceremony. We paid RM200 for one crate of Heineken beer and endless time karaoke'ing in the room. I really enjoyed that night, not to mentioned, I drove back home at 3am in the morning! :)

...syok sendiri during karaoke session...

Date: 24th April 2010
Picked up my parents from airport early that morning and went to campus for my photo taking session with Typhoon. After the photoshoot, we walked around campus, and a big thanks to my lil brother, Aaron for helping me to take photos the whole day~! *claps*

Had some time around Miri with our little Kelissa...and it was time to get myself ready for the Graduation Ceremony. I arrived campus early and we started taking photographs here and there. Never knew that I will have cold feet when my name drew nearer. It was such a great feeling to walk on stage and receive the certificate. It felt....*speechless*

...the School of Business...

...thank you, Mum and Dad!...

Well, we had a great drinking party at Al Fresco right after the ceremony with all our lecturers and fellow Mass Communication students. It was liquor, music, talks, dance...everything! Had a wonderful time that night!

Date: 25th April 2010
The next day.........hang over kau kau lo~!
Anyway, woke up at 8am, get ready and was off to breakfast and a tour around Miri for Mum, Dad and Aaron. We took a trip to Canada Hill and it was my first time to enter the Petroleum Museum in Miri! *sakai'ted* We went to Marina Bay, Tanjong Beach, Taman Awam..............and finally, I had someone to syok sendiri with...presenting...Aaron!

...see what I mean...
*smiles*

Though it was just a short trip back to Miri, I spent every moment with a smile.
It was great to meet everyone again.
It was such a wonderful feeling to graduate.
All the hard work for the past 2 years paid off.

Thank you Mum and Dad for supporting me all the way.
Thank you friends for being there for me.

I'm now a GRADUATE!

Movies Watched

Date: 20th April 2010
Was supposed to watch Ais Kacang Puppy Love but there were no tickets available so Lynn and I bought tickets to Date Night. Well, I'm a Steve Carell fan, so sure I'll pay for tickets to watch. At first I thought it would be a full comedy movie but there were a little bit of action pack in it. It was a nice show~

Date: 26th April 2010
I went down to Pavilion to pick up some things before I left for Redang after my holiday. Was contemplating wether to watch Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D or How to Train Your Dragon in 3D. The price was only RM1 difference. Well, later I decided to watch How to Train Your Dragon instead. It was a super short cartoon but a predictable but great 3D effects. I had to hold onto the 3D glasses throughout the movie but it was worth the money I paid for; RM18 because this cartoon is great! Oh...had popcorn, fishball and a cup of F&N orange throughout the movie~

Date: 9th May 2010
It was after a TVC shoot that Lynn, Peng, Angie, Angie's sister and I decided to go for a movie. I didn't know of this movie until Lynn introduced it to me. We were late for the show...a minute or two only lah. We entered the cinema when the movie started, so missed all the trailers for other new shows -.-" This movie incorporated cartoons comics and reality in it. It was an interesting show, tells us about life of a 'going-to-be' teenage kid. Interestingly funny.

More movies coming up next................

To Mummy...with love~

Mothers are the most important individuals in our lives. We begin our lives completely dependent on them for our every need. Many believe that we search for aspects of the mother child relationship throughout our entire lives. Love it or hate it, she was your first love and will never be gone from your heart. You will always be in her heart also. Try telling her not to love you, try telling to her to forget you existed. It is impossible. Unless you are a mother yourself, you can never understand the intensity of this love.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MUMMY ROSE!
Another year celebrating far away from home. But nevertheless, you are the greatest friend I can ever ask for. Lots of love, hugs and kisses from you daughter.

Diving in Miri

P/S: Pictures in this post has not much of colour because it was taken from my underwater film camera.

...the sites that I dived...

Date: 22nd April 2010
Time: 9.00am
Location: Miri Marina Bay

I signed up with Tropical Divers that morning for a 3 dive package and at first I was told that there were no one else other than myself. Lucky enough, an Australian guy named John came along and we buddied for the dives. We took a small speedboat out to the South China Sea and it took us 45 minutes to reach our first dive site.

Dive Site No.1
The Kenyalang Wreck (which is not in the map but it's close to the VHK Reef. I didn't manage to get good photos here as visibility was quite blur and all my close up photos of the nudibranches I saw turned out to be blur -.-" It was an oil rig wreck and it was an interesting one. Just 6 years and there were so many corals growing on them. The Groupers were huge! and there were Batfish too! I found a couple of nudibranches (different species) on the wreck and just before we surfaced, there was a small, round jellyfish swimming in front of me...what a wonderful sight!

We surfaced (it was a short dive) and had our 1 hour surface interval. We had an apple and a can of 100 plus during the waiting time...and to our surprise, we spotted two turtles mating in the open sea!

...the turtles...

Dive Site No.2
Siwa Reef was named after the village parallel to this dive site and the Siwa Oil Rig. From the boat itself, we could see the corals and the fishes swimming in the water. After gearing up for the second dive, I back-rolled in and I was taken aback with the beauty of the sea floor. There were no sandy bottom but it was literally a floor of corals~

...the anemones...

...Robert, the dive master...

After 50 minutes of bottom time in the water, we surfaced and shared our thoughts of the reef and both John and I were just so amazed with it. We had a box of nasi lemak (damn, it was such a delicious box of nasi lemak) and another can of 100plus for lunch.

Dive Site No.3
The Anemone Garden is one of the famous dive site in Miri...and as it is, it was full with anemones. One thing I like about my dives in Miri is that I get to swim at any directions that I want as long as I stay in sight of the dive master. There were so many species of nudibranchs and all the photos were all blur! ...so need a digital camera now.

...the mountain of corals sitting on top of each other...

...just look at the fishes swimming on top of the corals...

...the fish that will stay still for you to take the photo...

It was such an amazing dive and I promised myself to return to Miri at least once a year to dive the other sites and to one day make a dive at the Antago Wreck. The corals and fishes just took my breath away...

...last but not least, my syok sendiri in the water...

Looking forward for more dives in Miri!

Pumping the Brain

It has been two months since the last time I used up so much energy to generate my brain to think fast, act fast and going through days with a faster pace.

Previously when I was in Redang, I had such a laid back job where everyday at work is pretty much the same; getting to work on time for my shift and getting off on time after my shift, checking through the log books for bookings, counting tokens for pool games, speaking to hotel guests on our sports & recreation services...

But, as I have already left the island, I came back to the busy city and started my job back in production (it was totally out of my plan to come back to work in production as I have allocated this year to be production free for me to de-stress) and it was time to pump up my brain with

all these activities to boost up my energy!

Not only that I am now back in production, but things changed as I have to travel to and fro everyday from Pandan Indah, Cheras to Kelana Jaya every day (which takes me 1 hour 15 minutes one way) on foot and by train. I have decided that I will not move anymore (for now) and I have moved so much this year that I am so drained from all the packing and unpacking of my things.

Yes! My brain is now pumping its juice again and I can feel the energy rush as my days go by!

Starry Starry Night

The very last night I spent in Redang.
It was such a starry starry night.
A sight that can only be seen far away from the city lights.

Leaving the Island

Date: 3rd May 2010

It was the day of my departure from Redang Island back to Kuala Lumpur. Got the flight tickets that morning for RM204 and flew from the island at 1.00pm. It was a great 2 months there - learnt more for my diving skills, met friends and colleagues. But, it was time to leave.

Will be back one day for a real vacation!

End of My Vacation Job

It's been 2 months since I started working in Berjaya Redang Resort, Redang Island, Terengganu. It was a great 2 months here; with all the snorkeling, the swimming, the diving, the sales, and best of all, my colleagues.

But, due to unforeseen events, I tendered my resignation and is now packing to leave this island back to KL. It was indeed a very stress-free vacation job I ever had, and no doubt, I learnt a lot here.

All the best to the friends I met here!

Will see you guys in Redang one day!
