...I have to agree that this is very true. Although it doesn't really apply to all, but it is apply to many!...

A Weekend in the Library
Yes, I spent my weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) in the library... two libraries to be exact; the National Library and Petaling Jaya Community Library. I love the libraries:
1. It's cozy
2. It's huge
3. It's organized
4. It's quiet
5. It's wi-fi'ed....and it's fast!
Day 1
I took a train from Kelana Jaya and interchanged another to Titiwangsa and a taxi to reach the library. It is so far away from where I'm staying~ But, it was worth traveling down to the library to get books to read, rather than rotting myself at home. Signed up as a member for FREE! and went grabbing six books and a magazine, turned on my laptop and go online, read and take notes, photocopied some pictures, sneaked some food into my stomach and left at 3.30pm.
Day 2
I took a train to Taman Jaya and waited for half an hour for the Feeder Bus but ended up taking a cab to Assumption Church, next to Assunta Hospital. Attended the 11.15am mass (and this is like the first time I attended mass since I came here 2 months ago!) Then I took a 5 minutes walk to the library, only to find out that non-members cannot bring their laptops in. To be a member, I'll have to sign up and pay RM31! ...bloody expensive... So, I decided to just go up and check on their books and wrote whatever is important.
...hmm...
I think I know where to go next time for a quiet weekend..........

Trip to Negeri Jelapang Padi
Again it was another very long weekend, this time, it coincides with Hari Raya Aldilfitri. Lynn, Yih Wen and I once again, embarked on another road trip.
Our destination - Up North to Negeri Jelapang Padi, Kedah Darul Aman
Alor Star - Sg. Petani - Kulim
It was a really long ride from Petaling Jaya to Ipoh for breakfast. We left at 6.30am that morning, only to arrive at Ipoh at 10am for dim sum at Foh San. We even had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table. We sent Lynn to KTM Station to get the train back to KL and then to her hometown after knowing of her grandfather's passing.
We reached Alor Star, Kedah at 4.30pm and was able to visit Tun Dr. Mahathir's house. We checked into a random hotel besides the museum.

...the Paddy Museum...
...the clock tower...
...one of the icon in Alor Star...

The sleep in the hotel wasn't that nice... We woke up early the next morning for Kueh Teow Soup before heading to Gunung Keriang for a hike up the mountain. Too bad for us that we could only reach the first pit stop. The next mountain we stopped by was Gunung Jerai but instead of hiking up the mountain, we drove up the mountain :)

a beautiful place to visit
There's this bridge that we went (after we saw it from Gunung Jerai). We drove to the bridge only to find out that the bridge is closed. So we took a long walk along the bridge to the island called Pulau Bunting. We took a drive to many other places for sight-seeings and there are a lot of places to see and take photograph of.

I love this song and am looking for the translation.
Am wondering what this song means.

It rains when I do my laundry...
Yes, I've tried so many times to wash my laundry and hang them outside for the sun to dry them up, but every single time I do that, it RAINS! ...which means I have to wash my laundry all over again!
I walked home in the rain today. I've not been bringing my umbrella every since the weather went excruciating hot. It's not that I'm always out from the office... :)
This week has been the most stressful week (so far) at work. I have no idea why but this week drained me real bad. I woke up every morning feeling as if I hadn't slept at all last night and my 'afternoon coffee' doesn't seemed to be boosting up my energy. I've been wanting so much to sleep through one weekend; to increase my energy level, but it never worked.
I've been in front of my laptop for endless hours and only leave my laptop for toilet break, lunch break, dinner break and sleep break!
I can't wait for the shoots to start. Although I know that shoots are going to be even more stressful, but at least it's a different stress level every day.
Two more weeks and two more months before I complete my first project!

Figure of Speech
...be careful when saying the line...
Yes, at this moment, posting up this particular post, I feel like taking a gun and shoot dead someone who is giving everyone a hard time for the past 2 months. This person literally changes the document from time to time, adding more places and more people, and this adds into more work for us. And, this person causes delays which, in production, is a really BAD thing! How, how, how...
I really want to KILL him!

A Saturday in Serdang
The last time I came to my brother's place in Serdang was a long while ago. Ever since I was real busy with work and had the road trip during the long weekend, I hardly had the time to come over. This weekend, I find the time to have a time out for myself.
I took the train down to Mid Valley and my goal was to look for the Express Hair Cut shop but mission failed! I couldn't find it, not even after referring to the map! So, decided to have lunch then continue my mission in Mines Shopping Centre. I found Xpress Cut which cost me RM16 for 10 minutes hair cut. I was quite shocked to see how short my hair is now!
I managed to give EJ a call and met up with her for dinner and Final Destination 4.
Final Destination 4...hmm...well, its a gross as the previous 3 sequels, but I still prefer the very first sequel - the plane crash series - it is much original. This is actually my first Final Destination sequal I watched in the cinema. Gorry but great! Love the effects!
...waiting for the day I direct one of these films...
After the movie, I called Nina, who was actually nearby the area, but she had something to attend to, so we called for a rain-check. EJ showed me her place in East Lake - I LOVE HER CONDO!
...the arabic version of 'mountain dew'...
...and the old school tin cap...
*pictures were taken with my phone. that's why the quality is very low*
Well, as long as my laptop is around me, there's time for syok sendiri photos!

Johor Road Trip with Lynn and Yih Wen
I recalled the first time I was at Johor Bahru was when I was still in Primary School. So, to have an opportunity to go to Johor again was great! Lynn was heading back to her hometown and she invited Yih Wen and I for the trip. It was another long weekend; Saturday, Sunday and Monday!
We left KL early that morning and stopped by for breakfast before heading to Gunung Lambak. Yih Wen and I went for the hike and we reached the peak in an hour and a half. It was something new for me coz I've never actually hiked up and conquered a mountain before!

We met with Lynn at the foot of the hill and went to Kluang Railway Station to have our lunch. I had two glass of Kluang coffee...and it was GREAT! Had a short walk in Kluang town before driving off to Johor Bahru to Lynn's home.

We had dinner with Lynn's father at Pekin Restaurant and had an early night to bed. The next morning, Lynn's father brought us to have Johor's Kolo Mee and it was yummy! Next, we headed to the Pineapple Museum and Tanjung Piai, the southern most tip of Asean continent. We had the No.1 coconut pudding in Kukup town as well, where Yih Wen bought herself BB gun!

Lynn's father brought us around JB for a phototaking trip before heading off somewhere very far for seafood dinner overlooking Singapore.

We headed back to KL early that morning, but we managed to stop by at Melaka for Chicken Rice Ball lunch! and a short and quick walk at Jonker Street!

It was a great weekend road trip to Johor. Thanks Lynn for accommodating us and feeding us with delicious food! Thanks Yih Wen for the hike to Gunung Lambak and the ride around Johor and Melaka.

Celebrated Merdeka 09' in Genting
Haven't been to Genting for quite a while now. I recalled my last trip to Genting was with Alison, Max and Eriq during our college time back in 2007. Alex decided to head up to Genting for the long weekend (long weekend to us working people are either a holiday on Friday/Monday to add up with the Saturday and Sunday). I just got back to KL on Sunday evening and had to wake up early on Monday morning for Genting... was tired but I was looking at spending a good weekend!
...Choulyin, Choulyee, Alex and me...
Alex drove up to the cabel car and bought ourselves tickets for cable car to Genting. First place we went was the Outdoor Theme Park and I was actually very surprised to know that Alex would want to head into the park coz he don't play roller-coasters! Choulyee and I had the most rides. We tried every single roller-coasters there is in the Outdoor Theme Park and even paid RM10 for the Flying Coster and had 2 rounds of Space Shot!
...Choulyee and I after the Flying Coaster...
...sempat I syok sendiri when driving Go-Kart...
...a shot taken while riding the 'Umbrella' (dunno what this ride is called) ride...
We had lunch in Burger King before heading to Monte Carlo Casino where Alex played BigSmall and left the girls watching. I didn't want to spend a cent in this casino after an incident 2 years ago! hmph! So, the girls headed back out to the Theme Park and played until 6pm and it was time to leave Genting.
Here are some photos to share with...
It was a fun-filling weekend in Genting and it was my SLR's first time there as well!
